Nate is the Program Director at Forest Hill Ballantyne. He loves getting to know the students, living in community in with them, and building friendships that go beyond Sunday nights. Originally from Charlotte, NC and grew up in Forest Hill Church he went to the North Carolina State University where he roots for the best team in the country (The Wolfpack). One of his favorite hobbies is dishing out L’s to people in sports, video games, and various board games.
Sarah Kay serves as the Volunteer Specialist at our Ballantyne campus. She is passionate about students knowing God and developing them as leaders in the church. She has previously worked as a 2nd grade teacher and as a BigKids Director at Ballantyne. Sarah Kay grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA and loves her some Steelers Football. She is a big fan of coffee, cheese, and sarcasm. Playing board games with her is the way to her heart.
Alana is the Student Intern for Advance at Forest Hill Ballantyne. She loves getting to hang out with students and encourage them to grow spiritually. She is from Harrisburg, NC and went to college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she majored in Communication Studies. She now lives in Ballantyne with her husband Trevor and cat Atlas. She loves camping, backpacking, and lots of coffee.
Gage is the Program Director at our Fort Mill campus. He’s been in ministry for seven years and is very passionate about investing in students and empowering them to be leaders for Christ in their generation. Gage is from Clover, SC and now lives in Fort Mill with his wife, Kaley, and dog, Nixon. They are expecting a daughter, Adelina, in March.
Lindsay is the Volunteer Coordinator at our Fort Mill campus. She’s passionate about students choosing kindness and living unashamedly in the freedom found in Christ. She believes the church is a place where everyone is welcome. Originally from Charlotte, she grew up at Forest Hill Church. She currently lives in Fort Mill, South Carolina and loves coffee and clouds.
Roland is the Program Director at the South Blvd campus. Although his hometown of Palmyra, Virginia boasts being home to one traffic light and the world’s least entertaining man-made lake, Roland has also lived in Madrid, Spain and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He is passionate about connecting with people of all backgrounds and has a deep desire for students to understand who God is, what He’s done, and how much He loves them. Roland loves the Lakers, playing guitar, and speaking Spanish & Portuguese.
Jus is the Program Director at the South Park campus. Jus has a heart for all youth and believes whole-heartedly in the potential that each and every young person poses. His desire is to see youth truly grow in the depths of Gods love for them and believes in empowering them and equipping them to be the best person that they can be. Jus’ first love is the drums and spent some time traveling and playing music. He loves the UNC Tar Heels & Carolina Panthers and his favorite player is LeBron James. In his downtime he enjoys playing golf, basketball, flag football, corn-hole, pool, and fishing (and welcomes all challengers).
Ellie is the Volunteer Coordinator at our South Park campus She was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC but has always loved adventuring and traveling to see other parts of the world. Her passion is to see all students experience Jesus and to experience a real, life changing and personal relationship with Him. She loves coffee, ketchup, adventuring, long boarding, photography and has probably never worn a matching pair of socks before.
Terrell is the Program Director at our Uptown campus. He was born and raised close by in Concord, NC. His passion is to see all students experience Jesus in a tangible way and to know that He’s more real than anything in this world. Terrell has served in multiple areas of ministry including music, outreach and college-aged ministry. Terrell is married to his wife Kemi and has a son named Roman! He also loves pizza, mac and cheese, art, big fields of grass, and dogs.
Lexie is one of the Family Ministry Interns for our Forest Hill Uptown campus. It is her passion to help students find their identity in Christ and to feel truly loved by the Forest Hill community. She is from Bluffton, SC and is currently attending college at the University of South Carolina, where she majors in Mechanical Engineering. While she has an interest in engineering, ministering to students is her true passion. She now lives in Rock Hill, SC with her husband Frank and daughter Abigail. She loves gardening, movies, and laughing till she cries.
Gray is the Program Director at Forest Hill Waxhaw and is passionate about inspiring students to know and love Jesus Christ in every part of their lives. Since first feeling the call to ministry as a sophomore in college, Gray has served churches in the areas of adult discipleship, college ministry, and student ministry. In his free time, you can most likely find Gray reading a book, watching Clemson football, or spending time with his wife, Jen, and his daughter, Charlotte.
As the Waxhaw Volunteer Coordinator, Siobhan connects with students and coordinates volunteers at our Waxhaw campus. Her passion for students comes from her desire for them to know Christ and to courageously follow Him wherever He leads. She married her best friend Steven in 2011 and loves to read, craft, and play with their dog Luna.
Bekah manages the database, calendar, budget, and supplies for Family Ministry (Kids@FHC and ADVANCE). She seeks to serve our families by making sure every kid and student has fun and feels welcome when they are with us. She is passionate about seeing kids and students understand the Gospel and live in the freedom of knowing Christ. Bekah is from Asheville, NC and deeply loves her Tar Heels. She also loves the mountains, dark chocolate, traveling, and organizing.
Chess is a digital designer hailing from Hickory, NC. As the Production Designer, Chess creates all graphics, videos, and other media used within our ministry. He also leads all aspects of production for ADVANCE services, as well as managing the online presence of ADVANCE. Chess shares his home with his lovely wife, Leighanna, and their dog, Sarge.
Laura is responsible for bringing together the details for Trips and Events. She organizes who does what, and what goes where to help make things fun and memorable within the Advance ministry. She grew up in Littleton, Colorado, loves the beauty of nature, is married to her best friend Brent, and has two precious children Xander and Olyvia (her X and O).
